NEW PERSPECTIVE

for promising businesses in distress

Who we are

VELOX TCI invests in distressed companies that can be turned around through targeted, concrete improvement measures combined with the infusion of capital.

  • We search for and select opportunities in a structured way that fit our investment criteria.
  • We tackle the root causes of decline and add value through the infusion of expertise and capital.
  • We utilize and expand existing potential by implementing concrete improvement measures and optimizing the cost structure and financing.
  • In doing so, we achieve structural growth in quality and profitability for the company, on behalf of all its stakeholders.

We help promising companies get back on track

What drives us?

  • Quality always comes first. We do the right things as well as possible, in a structured, thorough and transparent way. By improving ourselves and our own organization a little every day, we aim to be the best turnaround fund for everyone involved. In our portfolio companies, we translate this into measurable qualitative improvements to the financial and operational organization. The result: satisfied customers and suppliers, proud employees and structural profitability.
  • Fair dealing. We want to treat everyone the way we would want to be treated ourselves. We say what we do, and we do what we say: we are reliable, and we communicate openly and transparently. We expect the same from everyone we do business with.
  • Attention to all stakeholders. The interest and continuity of the company we invest in is always central. We understand the dynamics at play in a turnaround situation and the sometimes conflicting interests of the various stakeholders. Reaching a sustainable and successful solution requires offering fair and realistic outcomes to everyone involved. That is what we stand for.

What we do

As a turnaround fund, our goal is to offer the best solutions for promising companies in distress.

We achieve this by stepping in as a highly engaged shareholder, bringing extensive expertise, experience, network and capital. The interest and continuity of the company is always our starting point, while taking the interests of all stakeholders into account.

We can move quickly, because we know the process and follow it in a structured way. First, we have clear criteria that an investment must meet. Then we draw up a clear, concrete plan and support the company's recovery and further growth with a well-defined, phased and measurable approach.

SELECTION

  • Does the company fit within our investment criteria
  • What is the problem and which measures are needed
  • Extensive feasibility analysis
  • Solution supported by all stakeholders

TURNAROUND

  • Implementing concrete measures
  • Infusion of capital
  • Stakeholder management

IMPROVEMENT AND GROWTH

  • Clear strategic choices
    • Discontinuing loss-making activities
    • Investing in future growth
  • Structural improvements
    • Financial, operational and commercial
    • Reducing risk
    • Close collaboration with (strengthened) management

EXIT

  • Sale to management or third parties

WHEN DO WE STEP IN

  • Medium-sized organizations in distress: facing (imminent) bankruptcy or acute succession issues.
  • Established organizations (no start-ups, no hypes) with a (management) team we can build on. Management is strengthened where needed. If the "key man risk" is too high, we do not invest.
  • Companies operating primarily from the Netherlands or Germany.
  • Underlying structural growth potential and sufficient distinctive strength must be present.
  • We have no sector focus, but we need to understand the business, and we do not invest in heavily regulated industries.
  • In a turnaround, it is important that we can determine what happens, even when the measures are far-reaching. We therefore always operate from a position of controlling influence.
