None of the Investment Funds managed by Velox Turnaround Capital Investors (Velox TCI) has an investment policy that aims to promote environmental or social characteristics, or a combination of those characteristics. Nor does the investment policy of any of the Investment Funds focus on investments that qualify as ‘sustainable investments’.
The Investment Funds of Velox TCI do not take into account the EU criteria for environmentally sustainable economic activities within the meaning of the Taxonomy Regulation.
Velox TCI recognises that sustainability risks may have a negative impact on the value of the investments of each of the Investment Funds, which may affect the potential return for investors. Velox TCI therefore takes sustainability risks into account when implementing the investment decision-making policy of each of the Investment Funds. When assessing a potential investment, the due diligence process evaluates whether there are sustainability risks that could materially affect the financial performance, reputation or continuity of the investment concerned.
The way in which Velox TCI employees manage and account for the control of risks, including, of course, sustainability risks, is a criterion for the award of remuneration by Velox TCI.
Velox TCI does not consider adverse impacts of its investment decisions on sustainability factors. For reasons of proportionality, Velox TCI does not prepare a ‘principal adverse impact (PAI) statement’. Any added value of issuing a PAI statement for investors is disproportionate to the costs, time and attention that Velox TCI would need to devote to preparing and maintaining a PAI statement.
